Default For what it's worth (bowtech guardian)

Just called a local bowshop about the 07 equalizer and to inquire when he might be getting them in. He said he wasn't sure but that he talked to his rep andbowtech was waaay behind on bows.

get this....(if you ordered a guardian and are waitin then you might not want to read below)

he said they were backordered 40,000 on the guardians.

on the brighter side, said he hoped to get some new equalizers in next week. I was happy as that's what I'm lookin at

I'm not disputing ANYTHING posted here......but doesn't it seem like 40,000 bows of ANY kind is a lot to be behind? I wouldn't have dreamed they made that many bowtech bows TOTAL in a year. Who buys 'em all???? I'm totally shocked.

How many bows do these companies produce in a year??? wow!

It could be $40K in Sales behind. With as much as they cost that would not be out of the question. Alot of times companies talk sales versus actual product quantities.

If you were to divide $40,000 in sales by the amount they get for their bows, say $600 on a $850 dollar Guardian it only equales to around to being 67 bows behind. That doesnt seem too bad considering some of the horror stories i have heard about being behind in production. This is all theoretical considering i have absolutly no idea what what Bowtech makes on their bows or how much they are behind in terms of units or sales.

I was thinking the same thing. The shop I go to has a guardian in stock, been there a couple weeks, but none others have come in yet. 40,000 is sure a ton of bows though! Hopefully it's not true or the people that ordered them will be waiting a LONG time.

40,000 bows?

Just the fact that they have that large of an order really shocks me. I just never thought that many bows were ordered at any given time.

Well it's certainly not dollars. $40,000 is chump change to a bow company. I also doubt the 40,000 units. That would amount to about 24million dollars. 4000 units I could believe. 400 I could believe, but not 40,000 of one model. I guess it could include a lot of large volume orders from say a cabelas or someone like that.[&:]

I tried to find their annual sales. In digging around the internet I found this interesting. The vice president and co founder of Bowtech has been fired for supposedly marrying the Martin girl. Talk about bashing a product, check this out.

How many BT dealers are there? I know of 5 within 30 miles of the house here and I live in the stix. Is there a 1000 dealers, 5000 dealers? If they havnt shipped any out it realy doesnt sound all that far fetched to me. 5000 dealers on average that is 8 bows. You can bet that these big stores like Gander, cabelas, BP shops, Dicks....etc will get more than 8 bows in. I know some of these stores wont sell BT it was an example.
