Ok sorryit took so long to write back. Yes HE has lost his horns. It was the last 10 mins of light and I looked and looked and didn't see sockets. Wish it wasn't so but it's still a deer to me and I'm proud. Haven't had a chance to shoot a deer with my bow in 4 years cause the military. The reason I didn't see the sockets is because he lost them the first week of dec. They were already healed over. Wierd kinda. I've never seen a deer lose his horns that early. After this I hung up the bow, so did my buddies. Didn't want it to happen again. The thing in the bottom of the pic is a new deer drag.

It's not my favorite that's for sure. It's either feast or famine. They bunch up at this time of the year. If you're in the right spot fine. If not, oh well. But even if you're in the right spot there are so many eyes and they've been hunted and spooked and shot at and you name it. No cover to speak of and the deer are nervous. Come to think of it, even though I hunt it, it sucks.
