I have realized that the top and bottom sections of a climber REALLY DO need to be tied together [X(]I learned how to shoot a limb instead of a buck[:@]But in all seriousnes i learned where the deer are hanging out in the late season (Deep in) and i found some real promising spots for 2007.

I learned that hunting from the ground (sitting on a stool)and remaining unseen from deer is terribly difficult without sitting in a blind.

Furthermore, from that same lesson, I learned that the instant you see a deer you're planning on shooting, you need to be up and locked on....ready to shoot.

Ilearned that when you rattle and call blindly, be REALLY locked on and ready to shoot cause they can come arunnin and catch you with no bow in hand.

I also learned that if you're rattlin, if the deer see that no one's home (can't see the deer/fight) they won't hang around long.

RE: What have you you learned about bowhunting in 2006?

I learned:

1- WHERE the deer in my herd are at different times throughout the season
2- What an arrow looks like that DIDN'T go through a deer
3- What an arrow looks like that DID go through a deer
4- What an UNBELEIVABLY sickening feeling it is to injure a deer
5- What an UNBELEIVABLY wonderful feeling it is to see that same deer, FINE.
6- The solemn emotion of the taking of a deer's life.
7- Not everyone will enjoy YOUR successes
8- That MY way of hunting is different than most
9- What it's like to lose a huntin buddy
10- That people buying a particular product will defend said product against ALL others. It's human nature. Everyone wants to think they made the right decision with their hard-earned $$. LOGIC "should" tell us, though, that there are far more good products out there than perfect consumers.

I learned that I really needed to take a step back, slow down and pay more attention to how I walk thru the woods.
