Default What have you you learned about bowhunting in 2006?

I've learned to take my kids out with me as much as possible, even when scouting.

I learned I need to scout more and not have college get in the way of hunting (which isn't a problem because I graduate in May). I need resist the urge to simply set up on areas based on tons of sign, and actually think about travel routes and cover in relation to food/bedding areas.

I learned that scouting and having multiple stand locations to choose from, should one become less than desirable, can yield some pretty nice rewards.

Agreed multiple stands are key, I'm getting 2 more hang-ons which will bring the total to 7

i have learned a lot about behavior.. considering i went hunting more this year then all the other times ive spent in the woods added up!! i have also learned a lot about how to tell how old a deer is just by looking at it from the tree

I learned that motorcycles riding around in a bedding area at 3:00will ruin an evening hunt.[:@]
