Just makes a guy wonder how many buck get shot and people dont even look for them or dont find them because these were 75 yards apart!
More than we ever care to think. There are so many slob hunters who shoot at animals without a good shot. I hear stories every year of " I got three shots off, but that deer was haulin arse across the pipline" They usually don't even check to see it was hit they just assume they miss.

Makes me sick!

That has got to make you sick knowing that those are two nice bucks you or a family member won't be able to hunt next year.Bummer.

There was a very large buck that was starting to get stinky by where we hunt too. We didn't know if possibly it was from a bow hunter that didn't track it or if it was poached. The guy never said what kind of wound it had, but the rack was cut off so somebody had already ran across it.

And it is sickening to know that there are people out there that don't even look for the deer if it doesnt drop in it's tracks. From our hunting party alone I walked up on 2 freshly killed deer that somebody in the party that I hunt in had shot already. I pretty much ruined everybodies one drive because it pissed me off so bad. I walked along a trail to find a spot to post, noticed some blood started following it and there was a deer that just died. I yelled to the guy that had been shooting and said
'DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HIT WHAT YOU WERE SHOOTING AT!?!'
"uh, I don;t think so"
'WELL I'VE GOT A DEAD ONE HERE!'
"how dead?"
'DEAD'
how dead? I thought to myself is this guy serious..would I be making a fuss over some rotting deer carcass
