Default Late season success?

I'm just looking for encouragement to keep me going back out there. I have never had much luck after the rut,but I can't kill a big buck from here. Have any of you ever had much success this late?

I have killed a couple during the late season. It's a little tougher now, but like you said....you can't kill one if you don't try.

Greg's right, you don't know, if you don't go! I have taken several nice Bucks in late season, after all the Nugities have left the woods, and deer are are back to a some what normal pattern. Hang in there!

I know what you mean 442 i'm not having much luck either. A matter of fact i've not seen a deer since the rut is over.I't is very hard to get out of bed to go hunting when you've not seen a deer .thier's alot of tracks on the trails but just not knowing when tier coming throw , but i guess i'll keep trying .

That's a great deer Dayna. What part of IL are you hunting? I'm guessing north, since we have not seen snow yet in central IL.

It is tought, but can be done. Usually, this time of year, you see none or a whole boatload. I hunted last Wednesday and never saw a deer, then tonight I saw 15.

I hunt 75% public, and I'm hoping that when the weather gets tough, only the tough will be out there.
Maybe things will be better then. Ialsohave not seen a buck in a month, but I have seen fresh rubs as big as my torso.
