cuddeback camera, view pictures? Please Help
Just bought the Cuddeback No Flash camera.. Was going to go set it up today but had a question about viewing the pictures. This thing uses the old Compact Flash card.. How do you view these pics.. I don't have a laptop to take out in the field.. I don't mind buying another flash card to switch out but how in the world do you get flash card images on your pc when you have no other device that uses a compact flash card?
My regular digital camera uses the small xd pic card.. Isn't there a way to transfer pics from the cuddeback to your digital camera maybe while out in the field?
I really hate to take the entire thing down and bring it home everytime I want to see a picture...

I think the only way is to have a camera that accepts the larger flash card.
I have a camera that does and I use it to set up, test and screen the Cuddyback in the field (by swapping out the card after doing a test walk-by.)
The only other way would be possibly to go out of the Cuddy's USB port and into a mini DV camera (like your average camcorder) if they made a cable went from USB out to DV in... but I'm not confident of that, just a guess...

I have 3 Cuddebacks and 9 flash cards for them. I bought a CompactFlash card reader for the computer for about $15. It hooks up to the USB port. I switch the cards every time I check them and bring the card home to view on the PC. This way you can also save the pics that you want on your PC and delete the rest.

Hey Dan, that's cool - and true about the pics...
I've messed around with the video too, which is fun - is the motion capture trigger as fast as the still photos trigger? I've got some empty video where I guess a creature passed by too quick...
- sorry to hijack the thread by the way, figure it's kinda close to topic, in the spirit of more info...!

Enjoy... yep, there's something very intriguing about just seeing what goes on when you're not there... very voyeuristic.
And try that video too! Next season I'm gonna put the camera up over the gut pile to watch the coyotes, racoons and all...
