Mine would be hearing 2 bucks fight while I was in my stand! That is just amazing. Also the last day of bow I saw the biggest buck I ever saw chasing a doe. To far to get a shot with my bow, but an mazing sight. It has been a great season!

I know I'm in the bow hunting forum, but my highlight was shooting a little four pointer with my seven hear old daughter (with a 30-06) . It was one that I normally would have passed on, but after discussing what was "for the taking" that day, she'd decided on anything with four or more points, and then look what happened to walk out in front of us! It was the first time she'd ever hunted, and I had an absolutely wonderful time.

Since it's still '06, mine would be the spring turkey season. I got to call in my 12 year old cousins first turkey kill. Her expressions mean more than all my birds. The next day, I called in and shot a 3 bearded tom (4",6", & 10"),23 lbs, 7/8" spurs for myself. Theweek before I also called in and shot a 21 lbs, 8" beard, 1/2" spurtomfor myself. What a turkey season.

Taking the SCI #2 archery reindeer has to be my hunting highlight for the year. The next was finding this site.

The fact that I saw almost 3x as many 3.5 year old bucks as I ever have in a season is one of the best highlights. Our work is beginning to pay off..............

Most importantly though was the double header with my best bud on 11/6. They aren't monsters but that was a VERY memorable day.

Not forcing that shot at 20 yards on the buck I was after that didn't quite give me a good opportunity. Being glad it didn't turn into one of "those" threads.

or

Being fortunate enough to be wearing my safety harness (pre season) when I fell from 16 feet off some climbing sticks while I was making revisions on a stand.
