First shed of the year
While going to my stand yesterday afternoon I spoted 2 tines sticking up out of the grass. It turned out to be half of a 10 pointer. Pretty nice antler for the area I was in. I looked several times last spring without finding any and now I stumble onto this one. It was in excellent shape w/ no chewing on it. It was completly covered w/ grass & leaves so I know it was from last spring. I never did see the buck that droped it, but I certainly hope he makes it till next fall.

Thats is one of my favorite past times after the season. Great exercise, find new honey holes, and its a great feeling finding one after loging many hours looking. Do ya have any pics?
