Seated or Standing?
#22
I stand in a deer stand. I don't like sitting at all.
When I get up in the tree I turn the seat of my climber off to the side and put my pack and stuff on it.
I hold onto my bow the whole time too. However, in my old age, a bowhanger/holder is starting to look more appealing. (my poor little hands get cold)

I like to be standing if at all possible. I try to spend at least half my time in a tree standing anyway. When I was younger I hardly ever sat. Besides that the early stands didn't have seats.[&:] I start planning getting to myfeet the minute I see a deer. They can change directions in a heart beat. You can swing a lot better and use better form if you're up. It's a lot easier to change position if you're up to begin with. I have shot several while seated, more out of necessity than desire.
