BobCo19-65 you silly man. I have been here for ...... gosh, 6 years now ? I was here when Static was here. I had the 6th most posts by any username at one time, before an upgrade blasted all our posts totals. I've been onalmost every debate and every topic thats been covered. These forums are a fantastic place to bounce ideas around, to gain knowledge, insight, information and even advice. Stealthycat is known by anyone who has been around the political forums for any ammount of time.
Why did that name get banned ? Because I spoke out against canned hunting when Hunting.net used Old Stone Fence, a notorious canned hunting operation in NY that the HSUS and PETA hammered on. Imagine that, a pro-hunting site with rules against saying or posting anything that would reflect negatively on hunting using a canned hunting sponsor !
And I was banned for stating just that. And I didn't leave, wouldnt leave. Only after some ....... uh, instances with some ........ uh, HNI in the know's, did I say I'd lay off the canned hunting thing and I pretty much have. Old Stone Fence is no longer a sponsor, they went belly up, HNI doesn't use canned hunting sponsors now thatI know of. So in that light, and the intrest of my family, I don't harp on it.
I like to post, and hopefully the Mod's and Co. allow me to as long as I abide by the rules, and I do.
This thread didn't break any rules, and hasn't went beyond anything out of the norm.
You calling me a troll is laughable, it seriously is.

you wonder why ? email me at [email protected] and I'll be glad to tell you, ro send a PM, and it has nothing to do with what types of hunting are more difficult than others, I gaurantee
And you wonder why the user names, Stealthycat, datamax, bigredporker, zelansomething, etc. etc. etc. do not exist anymore. I guess we are not the only ones who see it.
Im glad im not a fat, black, homoginized milk drinking, homosexual, smoking, cat loving, crossbow shooter. (Inside joke from the political forum for you all keeping score.)

Cooper31, seems like you know about him a bit. Why exactly does he use the phrase "Hunting the Hard Way"? Seems like everything here is all speculative. Is it just the fact that he uses a bow? Or is he spinning off the book by HH? Is he comparing Trad against Compound? Bow against gun? I only saw the show once, and I would admit that he kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It was a while ago though and I can't remember specifiaclly why.

He makes his own arrows, bows and other gear. He goes out to find his game instead of waiting for the game to walk under his tree. He attempts to take game that most would not with the equipment he does. He keeps things very basic in a world that keeps advancing. When you have money and time you can do that I guess.
Just so we are clear, we are not friends and I don't claim to be friends with him. I was able to talk with him while he toured our facility. He did change my opinion of him though. I do respect him.

Thanks.
That longbow he has on page one is a piece of art. It looks like he has Bocote limbs. If they are laminations they are extremely hard to glue up. Even top bowyers won't do it sometimes. Looks like he has snuffers and artificial feathers though.

If the truth be known.....I respect anyone who takes a game animal with a bow....and the traditional guys get an extra kudo. I'm not blind to the FACT that it's more of an accomplishment (the shot....where you hunt is also a mitigating factor...lol).
No matter what's been said.....I'm not naive.

I just looked up his website and he doesn't define what he means by the Hard Way (except by saying it's the Barta Way). What's funny is there's a similiar thread on his forum's to this one but in regards to him using a downrigger while flyfishing. LOL
