A friend asked me for the tongue the next time I got a deer - how would you cut it out? Have you done it?
And any recipe would be appreciated.
I've had beef tongue, it tasted kinda like a cross between pastrami & bologna. Not mind blowing, but now I'm up for the challenge more than anything else.
This was my first year butchering my own hunt, now I just want to get better and better and this intrigues me.
Thanks!

Be carefull ,you never know where that tongue might have been. Just reach in there deep and cut the little sucker out. Par boil it and finish it off on the grill with some bbq sauce and hot sauce. Enjoy.
