Shooting a drop away style rest, it doesn't matter.

I've one both and it doesn't matter with my bow because I use a dropaway. However, the question was what do you use and I put the cock feather down because I think it looks cool! :D

When I make my arrows the cock goes on first therefore it faces out but I too shoot a drop away so it doesn't matter.

IMHO I think it does matter with the WB. All 3 vanes should go thru the brown whiskers. I'm not sure but I think with my set-up , with cock-vane down 1 vane would shoot thru the "gap" on my WB. I'll take a look when I get home.

Cock feather OUT. But with my Muzzy, it really doesn't matter. But you do something one way for 38 years and have been successful, you don't change it.

With a Wb it should go up. You do not want the vanes to go thru the black portion of the WB disc. It is stiffer and could cause your vanes to come off.
