does anybody have some tips on using scents like doe in estrous, Where should I put it, how far from my stand, up wind or down wind of me,and how much to use.

when i use it i try to put it up wind of me and in a shooting lane. by putting it up wind it will help mask your sent.

Just like jimmya said. I put out a scent holder usually 15 yards in front of me (upwind) with doe esterous because I use the 'Can' call alot so I want to smell like a doe in heat if I'm going to sound like one. And I'll put out some buck in rut scent on any rubs I find around so the bucks will think there's a new guy in town flirting with their girl. This works good with the old grunt tube and rattling antlers. Especially in prerut. But now that we're in rut and post rut, I'll stick with the 'lonesome doe' combo.

I usually use some scent wicks. About four of them, all placed in a shooting lane completely surrounding my stand. Really helps isolate your scent, since from any direction a deer will come they will pick up the Doe Estrus scent. I had a lot of luck with H&S Scents from Wal-Mart this year. It comes in a larger 2oz bottle and is cheaper than all the rest. It brought a nice 8pointer into my stand, and he was sniffin the wick when I taged him.
