Now that's what I'm talking about. Very nice Bowdon. That's the kind of deer we have around here. Very nice even typical racks with long thick tines. Great photo. Congratulations.

RE: My Iowa 8 pointer
The camera is set up 9 day, 11 mouth and than 2002 year. I was hunting with a friend that I have bowhunted with for 35 years down in south east Iowa. Sense I have retired I move in every year with him in Nov. This year I could only hunt a week with him so, I went down on the 2 of Nov. and was going home the after noon of the 9 th and shot him the morning of the 9th. I had been seeing a ton of bucks and some real nice ones. On the morning of the 9th I shot a gray squirrel at about 7 to see how my arrow where shooting and pined him to the ground at about 20 yards and I thought to myself great I'm shooting good and the arrows are shooting good. It was at 8:30 I looked to the right of me down under my stand and there he stood right under me. I don't like to to shoot them that close to me so, I let him walk under me but, than I could see he was going to take the trial going straight away from me and if he got to far I would have only his butt to shoot at and I will not take a shot like that so I shot him at about 10 yards from my tree hitting him right behind the rib case on the back and comeing out right between his frount legs. he ran about 40 yard and stopped than fell got up than fell agian and was dead. he was laying 20 yards on the other side of the squirrel I shot. He not the buck I wanted and as big as the one I have been seeing but, he will do. If he make P&Y it won't be by much maybe a 125 or 130 at the most. He wide and got some mass that will help.
