Hunting in Snow Yes or No?
#11
I wish I had snow to hunt deer in. Down here in Virginia, it snows - but late around the end of January & February - well after deer season. It doesn't stick around long anyways.

I would rather hunt in the snow than in any other condition. Especially after a nice heavy snow where you get a few solid inches. Here's the thing, if the snow doesn't "pop" under your boots, stay on the ground, look for fresh tracks. If you've got a buck tag, back track buck tracks, for me it's worked about 7/9 times. Deer also have a tendency to move really well after a good snow so keep those eyes open. Still hunt. Remember to move extremely slow and be very cautious. Good luck if ya go!
