how far would you shoot?

HOWEVER, 30 yards is my absolute maximum hunting range and I strongly prefer 20 yards or less. 4 out of 5 deer I've killed with my bow have been at 15 yards or less and broadside. For me to take a 30 yard shot it's gotta be PERFECT or I'll pass.
So far in my 3 year bow hunting career I've never missed or wounded an animal (5 for 5 on deer and 1 for 1 on turkey). I'm not being boastful but I really believe that because of my shot selection. The only time I ever gut shot a deer was when I took what I thought was a 30 yard shot and it turned out to be 35. I vowed never again.

Every deer I've killed has been inside 30 yards. I would go out to 40 yards if:
[ul][*]Conditions were perfect[*]It was a P&Y class buck, and[*]I thought there was no chance he wasn't getting any closer.[/ul]
I had one opportunity that met the criteria above. I attempted a shot at what I thought was 40 yards, butit turned out to be a little farther than I anticipated. The arrow flew just under him.
