well i just recently baught a wildview .3 trail camera and got it set up today in what i hope is a good trail. i will wait until it snows to find a major trail that is used by deer and not cows and by alot of rubs. do u guys leave ur cam out in the snow???is it good for it ? and does it drain the battery faster or what effects good and bad does snow and cold have on it? what r u suggestions??
i am asking because there is a chance of snow this wednesday and i dont want to ruin my new cam. thanks for any reply

trail cams are waterproof so id say youll be fine, i leave my moultrie out in rain which has never hurt it. If your wildview uses double a's or something like that it may drain the battery quicker, but once again with my moultrie that runs off a 12 volt i have no trouble what so ever. Hope that helps!!

Set it up looking up/down the trail, they trigger a little slow. Cold usually drains batteries faster, in summer I got around 3 weeks out of mine. The snow shouldn't hurt the camera itself. Also set it up pretty close to where you expect the critter to be, the flash ain't so powerful.

I have a wildwiew as well as a moultree 200. With the wildview I have not had trouble with the cold but this summer the 100 degree temps messed with it somewhat. it would quit working until i brug it inside and cooled it off, then it would work again. The moultree worked fine hot or cold and wet.
