I've killed a lot of deer w/ a bow but I need some help on this one will a shot right where the white meets the brown about 14 from the shoulder kill a deer from 15 ft in the air at 15yds? the deer was slightly quartered away found lots of blood at first but tappered off to nothing by about 150 yds. I'm pretty sure it wasn't gut shot.

what color was the blood...light? dark? bubbles? particulate matter? smell? You've killed a lot of deer with a bow so I'm sure you would recognize a gut shot but it certainly doesn't sound like a double-lung hit either. Did you get a pass-thru? Did you find your arrow? If it was slightly quartered away and you shot it where you say you did it sounds like it would be a decent shot. Hmmmmm...got me.

You need to clarify your post somewhat. Where do you think you hit him? what did the blood on the arrow look like? what color hair dod you see on the ground? Did you start going after the deer? How far? Did it bed down?
