The battery I bought was a 6 volt made by Werker, which I bought at a local archery shop. The charger is made by Moultri. I've been told that some Wal Mart's sell them. Mine does not. Charger and batteries run around $10 each. Hope this helps.

I have a question on trail cams: Don't the flashes from the camera freak out the deer and cause them to change patterns? Are there any inexpensive digitial cams that take night vision photos without flashes?

As for leaving it in the snow, I do and have had no problems. As for the flash, that will always be debated. Everybody has there opinion on it. I'm sure it does a little, but I've had the same deer at the same trail cam spot as before and it does not seem to bother them too much. Some say put it high in a tree angling down and the deer will think its lightning. I would not worry about it. Just put it waist high.

The no flash ones are expensive and there are not too many companies that have them. I know Cuddeback has them, but in my opinion, Cuddebacks are way too over priced. I know people have had problems with them also. Check out chasingame.com
