A full grown Bobcat can take down any deer. Don't corner one or you might find out the hard way.

I'm not saying a bobcat isn't capable of taking down a deer. I just don't think it is a common occurance and when it does happen, I'm betting it's usually a case of the cat singling outthe young and/or weak.

I don'tthink that deer got away. The time stamp showed the bobcat with a strangle hold on the deer for at least 2 minutes. I'd think after 2 minutes of strangulation the deer was probably getting pretty weak.
The reason you don't see any more pictures is because they are posted on cuddebacks website and they wouldn't post gruesome bloody death pictures on their company's website.
Also, I think that's either a small deer or a GIANT bobcat.

Jimimac, I wouldn't say it if it wern't so. We have a healthy Bobcat population and I have seen the Bobcats aftermath many times. Mature deer eaten up with Bobcat hair all over. A yote won't even screw with a grown Bobcat.

I definately believe a bobcat can bring down a deer. Cat's are truly natural born killing machines. Think about the weight difference, 30 lb cat, 100 lb doe, not much different than a 100 lb mountain lion bringing down an 800 elk.

Those are pretty good pictures. I'd have to say that the deer didn't get away because as it was mentioned, he had a death grip on the throat for two minutes so that chances of her getting away were unlikely. Either way, it was a good video of nature at its best or worst, depending on how you look at it
