With the first shotgun season now over in Illinois, hows the rest of the season til the second shotgun season? In the main area I hunt, theres two sections, "up top" and "by the creek". "Up top", there were a few people shotgun hunting, and I always heard that deer will move into the places where theres no hunting, and that would be "by the creek". Since no one was shotgunning that part, do you think that could be productive?

DQ, I've shot my two biggest racked bucks in between 1st and 2nd firearm season. Also, in the last few years I've seen some of the biggest bucks during the last two weeks of December...........so there is always hope.

Id hunt up top by the creek....Seriously, the 2 weeks between seasons wont matter, there will still be some rutting activity going on, and the deer will sort of "recycle" into most places, so either place will prob. produce.
