Default Shot a doe but should have waited

Tuesday night I went out for an evening hunt. I have been hunting this stand for about a week, and had seen a single doe everytime I hunted the stand. So I passed on her thinking a buck might be coming. Well this time I couln't pass on her. I shot her and she ran about 30 yards and went down, but right after that a nice buck that was about 80 yards behind her took off running. Looked like a nice 8 or 10 pointer very tall. Anyways her a pic of her. Dressed out at 135lbs.

Just remember what I always say, "doe on the ground better than buck running around". Sorry, I couldn't resist. Looks like lots of good eating you got there.

I had the same thing happen to me this year. I had a big doe that came right in front of me working to my right, and I shot her then turned around to hag my bow back up and her comes four more deer from my left that i hadnt seen. Needless to say one was a buck. He was a little six pointer but still could have helped out the team.
