Default nice cull buck from KY

Don't make this mistake when I was hunting the other morning I got in my stand late, around 7:30 as soon as I got up the tree I heard crashing coming through the woods, it was a small 6 pt. buck chasing a doe they ran right under my stand a few minutes later I heard grunting in the direction they came from, it was this buck with the messed up rack I have been after for about 2 weeks. He was zig zagging on the trail of the small buck and doe. I reached down and grabbed my grunt call grunted twice he shot to attention and trotted my way, making short work of the 70 yds. on his way in to my stand I drew my bow, he stopped about 17 yds. broad side I could not get my kisser button lined up because I still had the grunt call in my mouth, so I let the grunt call fall from my mouth, put the pin behind his shoulder and tapped the release. It sounded like a fire cracker going off it about jerked me out of the stand, grunt call hit the stand and fell to the ground and I have no idea where the arrow went. Caught up in the excitement when I let the grunt call fall out of my mouth it crossed my string when I released it broke it from my neck. He ran about 10 yds. and stood there looking at the base of my tree. I knoted another arrow and made the shot at 30 yds. HE fell with in sight.Big mature whitetail with messed up rack dressed out 208, 4 1/2 yrs. old and what a spread 25 inch inside, good to get him out of the herd before he done any more damage.

I too bet it was an injury. Very cool deer regardless.

I agree, I'll bet he had an injury to his right rear leg at some time to be that lopsided. Did you notice any sign of injury to his right side?
