hi everyone im new here and had a question for you. if a doe and fawn came in which one would you shoot. when i first started id shoot anything but now whena fawn and mother come by I just let them go and i wait for a lone doe to come through. and i dont shoot small bucks which means alot of times i dont shoot at all i watch but i love seing how close they will get to me and have no idea im there well good huntin guys

Shoot momma. If it's a buck fawn, she's gonna run him off when the rut hits, so to avoid that, shoot her and keep him around.
It is generally accepted as the best management to shoot the adult doe, or the alpha doe when given the choice.

im not to sure thats what i always think of because i only hunt on 20 acres where it is really over hunted and for me to see a doe and a fawn with in 30 yds would be unbelievable but i hunt any ways just hopin that good luck would come around but i think i would take the doe im not to sure why its just a thing i have but if theres something wrong with that then someone tell me that way i wont make a mistake ...and as for a little buck....i would shoot him now if i hunted over more than 2 acres then that answer might change
