Do deer move in the fog?
The forecast for where I hunt is for fog and temps in teh mid-to upper 40's for Saturday morning, then a chance of light rain in the afternoon. Do deer move in the fog?

RE: Do deer move in the fog?
Deer use mostly thier hearing and smell so fog doesn't bother them too much. I have seen plenty of deer in the fog. They like light rain as well. So it sounds like a great day to me as long as the damp weather doesn't bother you. It will also limit your vision, but if you hunt lots of cover that probably will not matter much any way. They might move slower in the fog though, not sure. They are pretty weary animals, not very bright, but plenty paranoid.
Heavy rain and strong wind tend to effect them more, at least in my area. They don't like it when the weather effects thier hearing and sense of smell. They will still move though if they have to. They tend to be creatures of habbit until the rut kicks in. At least that is what I have understood to be true.
