As the season is winding down here in Ark. my hunting partner and I are starting to ask questions about our scouting teqnique. I always make it a point not to go into the woods for at least 30 days prior to the opener I normally have pretty good luck on day one, but it does not seem to take long for our siteings to become very hit and miss I am very particular about going into the woods during season unless I am hunting. This approach is a must due to the ammount of hunting pressure the deer see in this area. Does any one have any ideas on scouting more agressivly during the season without running the deer to the neighbors property? I just got a trail cam and am trying to factor it in some how. Any ideas are greatly apprciated, I still have until the end of Feb. to give em a try. Thanks in advance..........hill

i try to do the same thing as you but i have found that the deer change the patterens. even on the small acrege that i hunt. (5-10 acre tracts) so when things start going south i grab my bow 1 arrow and my release and go do some stalking/ scouting and see what is up. usually i do this on a real windy day. i do not like hunting on real windy days due to the fact that i never do any good. but that is how i got my first bow kill. anyway if you are not seeing them you got to find out why,and where are they moving to.
