Buck Growl/roar affect on young bucks???
It is pretty obvious the new word floating around the deer calling industry is the growl/roar. I know it is most affective during the rut when their is a good buck/doe ratio. The videos I've seen advertising the calls show a lot of mature bucks coming into the call.
Now lets face reality, not everyone has the perfect buck/doe ratio or the amount of mature bucks in their area than the people of the videos do. So does anyone know or have had experience on how the younger (not domitate) bucks react tothe growl/roar? Do they run for the hills, or do they come in because their curious?

You tell me....of course we officially aged this deer at 4 1/2 years old but when i used it prior to last week i did have some younger bucks come in to inspect what was going on. Our buck to doe rations is pretty low but hell it worked.

are you guys "blind calling" with the growl or are you only using it when there is deer present (be it younger bucks or does in the area)
im gonna pick one up tonight, and try it this week. i hunt an area that has good sign, and is close to the bedding areas so I may be able to pull a buck out of his bed with it. not sure if it works with blind calling, or if its better to try it when there are some does running around me.
