I have a True Talker and have not given it much of a chance. I also have a Lohman's Keg that I am very pleased with. it called in the doe I killed this year and the 8pt I choked on.

I also had one break on me a few years ago. The wooden reed assembly fell out of the call.

However it is a fine call. One of the top 5 out their IMO.

I've had the same one for four seasons. I've had no problems with it and it is around my neck at all times. Since it makes a variety of sounds, you can have a simulated deer conversation, with yourself...?

Yes, True talker is the only one I've ever had success with. I have bought a couple, but that's in case one breaks.

It will be headed to IL with me in 5 days.

If you want one, you should snap it up. I understand they are discontinuing production.

same thing with me the wooden part of the reid fell out, but it is still iin my mind the best call on the market, i have called bucks in in october, november and december when i shot my biggest buck. i do not hunt the midwest either it worked in south western ontario, where the buck to doe ratio is not 1:1 by any means.

I have one and like it, you can make some great sounds with it.
This is only my second year hunting with one, but I have pulled
in several bucks with it.

Cons would be
You can also make some really bad sounds with it if you get your
finger in the wrong place

The way the lanyard attaches. The rubber can tear out pretty easy.

Strong rubber smell out of the package.

I have had no problems with my true talker. I have called several deer in with it and I have even called a deer back that I spooked. In fact, just the other night, I shot at a good size doe and missed...she took off running and I grunted one time and she stopped, turned around, and walked right back within 40 yards of me or so. I like this call and is the most realistic sounding one that I have tried.
