That is an awesome memory. Congrats........you da man! You will enjoy the mount. I have a grey fox mounted in a full life scene. I just stare at it and remember the moment and the comraudery??(friendship) that was involved in the hunt. MATT/PA was with me on that hunt. IT was a very large grey. I will post pics if Matt can help me out.

Rob,
Congrats on a very succesfull season. Been waiting to hear from ya, expecting pictures of a nice buck though. My season went basically the same as yours except for the passing of bucks and instead of a coyote I arrowed a turkey on the afternoon of 11/08. It was not only my first turkey with a bow, it was my first turkey overall. It was a 30 yard shot and I also was using Rocky Mountain Snyper. Congrats again and we always have the late season.

MQ1, I know the feeling and congat's on the buck tho. I've often told friends that if I had both a yote and a buck standing in range, I'd opt to take the coyote. I've shot many a buck but never a coyote. Now, I have and the full mount that will come will grace my trophy room.
Matt I too had the yote on my to-do list if the opportunity ever presented itself. I've hunted this particular woods since I walked with my grandfather at a very young age. I've heard them almost every year and only this year ever saw one. Several weeks ago while heading to work I saw one running the fields, and then again Monday on the opposite side of the field that held my stand....I wished that one would come by.......I guess wishes can come true...I wonder if the Cardeer necklace I was wearing helped?
Royak Glad to share, I always enjoy everyones hunting stories and I hope my fit in...at least something different than the norm....
HH48 I couldn't believe when the yote stopped after it ran once I shot. It didn't know what happened and I guess I can credit a super quiet Hoyt VorTec...it came back at me wanting to go where it intended before I shot...My only regret was I was hunting alone with no cameraman, would've been beautiful footage.
Arctic No venison for me this year as of yet, none with a bow...Rifle season is a few weeks away and my hunting partner called tonight and said a 140 class 10 point crossed in front of him today, he'll be there rifle season....I might be there with bow in hand tho.
5'er This is the first year I've ever seen one while hunting. I've seen them from vehicles in my areas but never when I was in the woods. I hear them all the time. They are more elusive than mature bucks and the saying we have is They know your in the woods before you do. The wind was right, the dog came by...the rest is at the taxidermist and in pictures....
WimpThanks,
Coyoteseeker Great username..I know, I couldn't believe I got a second shot....again, quiet bow, good camo ASAT, and the wind was right....plus I hunt high but I was still amazed.
Twang Thanks Dude....kinda ties that fox cup entrant winner...lol thanks.
KiddThanks, I don't know if I da man, but I was for that particular yote...lol One of these day's I have to hunt with Matt/PA, if I can stop laughing enough to be quiet and hunt..
Growing YES, very exciting, I felt like I took a world class animal...hey, it was my first and I don't get alot of firsts anymore...lol
445 Supermag Thanks, the pictures will follow. I'll get them this weekend and will have them up before mid week I promise....
Thanks for the email, your always a warm spot with the board. Thanks friend.
Brirute, Congrat's on the turkey...one thing I haven't done...yet is a turkey with a bow....came close but I'll take the yote for now...our birds are in another week so, we'll see. No deer for me this year but that yote and the coming mount means alot to me...makes my season.

Head/Neck shot!?! Well you unethical SOB! JUST KIDDING!!! (Inside Joke for those of you that didn't read my Snyper post, Rob was a great defender of my honor
) Congrats on the 'yote!!! You've taken what, IMHO, is the hardest animal on the planet to bowhunt. We hunt them all of Sept. with bows (calling, stalking) and manage to kill MAYBE 2-3 on a good year (we ususally kill 15-25 a month in the winter with our rifles, just for a little perspective). Just curious..what is that full mount going to cost you?

CG, lol, One very deadly shot that I was glad I was able to put the money where the mouth was....right? Isn't it amazing how that happened...lol On a deer, never, on a yote...absolutely....all animals should expire so quickly.
The taxidermist where I frequent is on our pro staff so, prices should I say, special...

Congrats Rob! Was this done a stone's throw from my stomping grounds? Gosh, I hope so! I would love to see a yote! No buck for me either. I passed on a few, missed a huge 8 point, got to watch a couple of fawns play almost everyday, learned more than I thought possible and had a super good time! The most interesting news is that I purchased my very first rifle, a Savage model 10 7mm-08, so I too will be out during rifle season. It's not bowhunting, but I am considering it a new adventure. Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to see photos of your mount!!! Good luck with rifle season!
Oh, if need a host for your photos, let me know, I will add them to my gallery so you can link to them whenever you want.

You da man Rob! I've never connected with my bow on a yote...or a deer for that matter...only on rabbits. lol Great pic too. Does that stabalizer not get in the way and hit twigs and stuff when you have it in the field? Most people use smaller ones for hunting I thought...well, it must work with results like that! Congrast again on the yote. Do you mind if I add the pic to the member photo album that I'm doing?
