i hit a 8 pointer tonight and thought i had a pretty good shot.he was quartering away at28yards settled the pin and hit the trigger and wack the arrow hits a little high behind the front shoulder.he takes of and i can see my fletching stuffed in tight.i lose sight of him after 50 yards so i sit tight till dark and sneek out.i gather up some help and we start tracking we find blood about 15 yards in and it looks good,keep moving forward blood still heavy he's gone about 100 yards now and i'm starting to think what the hell is going on.another 50yards and he hits a pasture fence blood all over the place.now the problem posted property!!!i can see some blood in the pasture so we decide to back out and call the owner.so i make the call he's not home his wife said he would have him call me in the morning.i'll post some of the blood trail.

I would say dead deer. Hope you find him tomorrow.

Wow thats some good blood. That looks exactly like the blood when is hot my deer i shot it behind thes houlder and it came out the neck. Hope ya get your deer. Good luck and show some pictures!

that too me, the big puddles is blood the deer has coughed up, which in turn means lung hit but running that far you probably cought the nearest lung dead senter and then barely clipped the far one.Any way dead deer, good luck in the morning.Keep us posted

Got my fingers crossed for ya. just curious, did you find any air bubbles in it indicating a lung hit? Hope the land owner will give you no problems. Find him and post some pics.
