How come two bowhunters can't party hunt but gun hunters can? Seems one sided to me that two bowhunters while in the field together can each have doe tags but one hunter can't shoot a doe for the other; meanwhile a party hunting gun hunter can shoot twenty deer at once as long as the people in his party have tags. Are bowhunters being descriminated against?? HCH

Your incident plays out that way in PA but it's illegal. It's illegal to shoot more animals than you have tags for. You are not permited to shoot deer for other people. It unfortunately happens more times then it is ever caught.

A gun hunter in IAis allowed to kill as many deer as he wants as long as his hunting party has tags. If a hunting party has twenty tags, by law one person in that party can do all of the killing. A bowhunter in the state of IA can not shoot a deer for another person.

Ifelt discrimated against today when I learned that I have to buy a firearms tag to tag my deer with if I want to bow hunt during the short firearms season here that runs from Nov 11- Nov 21. Peak rut so they know we will want to hunt...just another way to get more money from us.

I agree that it's unfair to the bowhunters where you are .
