i know a full moon effects deer but can a new moon effect them also, 2 weeks ago i saw 4 bucks and 9 does, this weekend i saw nothing, but i did see alot of sign, so they were moving at night.
this made me wonder, why would they feed at night when theres no moon?

It is just my observations from the field and nothing to prove it scientifically, but I tend to see a lot of deer during new moon times. I see them lateer after sunrise (morning hunt) and see then earlier at sunset (evening hunt). I suspect that it has to do with the lack of light to forage by. Have you ever notice how freaking dark it is at 12pm without a moon??? Gotta effect a deers vision to some degree.
