I shot a 4 or 6 pointer yesterday (Couldnt see if it had browtines), and I hit it a little back but not too far back. I believe i hit liver or or maybe even clipped one lung. After i shot he ran about 30 yards and started licking where the arrow went in, then he darted up the hill with his tail up. Anyway I got down and my arrow was covered in blood, but there was no blood trail past where the arrow passed though. Me and MO Bow waited a while and then went looking for him based on where i saw him last. We couldnt find any blood where i saw him run, and after a while Mo Bow jumped a deer and it ran about 30 yards and then started walking like it was hit. We marked where it was on his GPS and then backed out and waited til the next morning. We went back around 10am and couldnt find him. Im really mad that i didnt make a better shot on him, but in disbeleif at the same time. What do you guys think happened?

I think you killed him, but it took a while. Impossible for us to know where you hit him, only you know that. They're tough little buggers. Sometimes the bleeding stays inside the chest cavity making for a difficult tracking job.

I shot a buck in the liver three years ago. No blood, tracked him six hours and jumped him four times. Finly shot him again and killed em. He went a little over a MILE!!!!
