actually that little bow started my love of archery so in one aspect it was the best bow I have ever owned!

30 SOMETHING years ago..... A 50 pound Damon Howitt recurve. Absolutely a wonderful bow. Killed a deer the last 10 minutes of the first season with it. Life was much simpler then. All I had was a bow, a tab, about 6 arrows and a 2 piece bow quiver with no broadhead cover.

Like a lot of others here, my first real bow was a Bear Whitetail Hunter. I had that, about half a dozen camo aluminum arrows, and a sight. I got it when I was about 15 or 16 (so around 1988 or so) and I thought life couldn't get any better.

My first bow was a green plastic recurve. It was given to me by my older brother who had one it as a prize for selling magazines. My parents used to buy me one arrow at a time from a local department store because they thought I would would be dangerous with more than that. My first bow that was an effective in the woods was a Darton Excel. My wife gave it to me as a wedding present. I used that for 9 years. This year, I bought a Buckmaster PWC from the local archery store on clearance. Now I plan to use the good old Darton for bowfishing.
