Why waste venison on Jerky and such?

I had the local meet market make me some jerky out of some beef steaks i had over the summer and it tasted no different than the jerky from venison...very good.
From now on im just gonna grind up everything i cant get a steak or roast out of into burger or cut it into stew meatand not waste it on jerky and bologna..ect

i love it too but it tastes the same when made out of beef...so why not get a few more deer burgers in the fryin pan out of your harvest...cuz they taste way better than any beef burger?

When we took my husband's deer in this year, we ended up getting all burger and about 10-12 pounds of roast. We added in 10 lbs. of jerky and 10lbs of jalepeno slim jims.
The slim jims are to die for, and the jerky is good, not a lot different than beef jerky, but my daughter absolutely LOVES jerky, so mostly we got it for her. (she's 7) Next deer, we plan on getting mostly slim jims. It will be expensive, but oooooooohhhhhh they are soooooo good! Especially when dipped in the sweet and hot mustard you can order from www.bensmustard.com I can't stay out of it, and I can see that 10lbs is gonna last maybe a month around here.

I like it better imo....no fat just nice clean burger that melts in your mouth...iv'e had a butcher do mine for me due to lack of time...and it wasn't even close...he never bothered to trim out the deer fat before grinding.
