First Deer of the season!!
I finally got out yesterday!!! My kids have been sick, and long story short I have been stuck at home. ( Being a grown-up sucks some times!)
Well about 8 seconds after shooting light out comes a fawn and a doe. Needing meat for the freezer and having limited opportunities this year I was not going to pass her up if she gave me a shot. Well she walked 8 yards from me and stopped broad side. Let it fly and watched her run out of sight. I thought I herd her crash so I did not wait to long to get out of the tree. I went over to check my arrow and good blood and a blood trail a foot wide. Now comes the cool part. I have promised my 6 year old son I would come get him If I get a deer, and looking at my watch it was 7:15am I had time to get him before he got on the bus. We got back about 8:45 and he wanted to track her so I said OK show me what you got. Now I never tracked her before I left so I had no idea how far she went exactly but did not think it was to far. Well it took about an hour or soto go 70 yards But Dam if he did not track her. I Was so proud!!!!! This is one deer I will never forget. Here is a pic.

Nice looking Doe! Shes nice and big. Your kids look just as happy and if your daughter is willing to get that close maybe she will hunt to. Also, looks like your son is ready to adjust your sights!

that is pretty awesome going back to get your son to help...he's gonna remember that for a long time (not to mention probably brag to his friends about it!)
