I'm kind of bummed at my season so far. I've only managed to hunt 4 times since our October 1 opener. All of them were morning hunts. I did take a doe October 7 but I just wish I could get out there more.

It's tough finding time to hunt right now because I work 2nd shift, my wife works, I go to school, and we have kids ages 1, 2, and 3.I can't wait until my kids are old enough tohunt - I'll just take them with me!

Oct 1 opener, only missed one evening because of lightning. Of course we can't hunt Sunday.

I can't remember exactly, but probably between 6 and 8. Not as much as I should have been, but I get so tired and worn out right now, plus there have been too many other things going on lately. The weather hasn't exactly cooperated lately either.

I've spent more days scouting and hanging stands this year so far than I have hunting.

I missed the entire early season except for one day.

Days scouted/stand prep: 17

If I don't get one this year it wont be for a lack of preparation.

Lost count. My season opened Sept. 15 and I was there. Hunted a couple ofnights each week on weeknights and missed a total of 2 1/2 days on the weekend. I am pretty lucky.

I have gone 8 times and killed 2 deer. I plan to go after work tomorrow and twice Saturday and again Sunday evening. Then there is next week. I have until the end of the month to fill my remaining 2 doe tags and until Jan 7th to fill my remaining buck tag. I should make at least 50 more trips this season. My wife is pretty tolerant although I sometimes think I should spend more time with my 22mo old daughter.

Been out everyday but one.
Mostly evenings during the week. Mornings and evenings on Sat. No Sun. hunting in Pa.
Deer sightings 3. No bucks.
Killed one doe.

My hunt is 60 miles round trip..Public property...59,000 acres
Quality hunts.??..4.... last day is this Sunday.. I'm going tomorrow evening and Sat. I've been hearing stuff in the thick about 70 yds so I planto move my stand tomorrow in the swamp thicker.

5 hunts for me since the opener Oct. 1. Once the November starts in and things start rocking in Illinois I will be out there every spare minute of daylight i can get.

Right no wI know I have at least 11 days to hunt in November so I will hopefully be able to get some more afternoon slipped in and put a big buck on the ground.
