RE: All Ladies Hunt

Does anyone have a particular food they absolutely hate and will not eat?

I am currently putting together a menu. Yeah, I'm anal. I like to make sure things are in place WAY beorewe start.

Drink wise, I'll bring coffee, tea and hot chocolate; there's water on sight. If you want something else, you'll have to bring it. We'll just have non-dairy creamer and regular sugar for the coffee and tea. If you require something else, you'll need to bring it.

Davidmil said he'd bring some tasty deserts and entree's. If he can concentrate on supper, I think ghemry and I can take care of breakfast and lunch. I'll hang back at camp to help make sure things run as smooth as possible. Two men in the "kitchen". Yeah! I can see the flour all over and one grabbing the other by the shirt collar. lol

I don't know about you guys, but I just can't eat a big breakfastin the wee hours ofthe morning. So, I thought I'd make some kind of sweet roll for you all before you go out and then have a nice breakfast and hot coffeee ready for you when you come back. If you want, you can take a break and lounge around or go right back out. I'll also make up some trail mix for snacking on while you're in your stand. You all like trail mix don't you?

Tentative Menu:

Snacks:
Trail mix, Sweet rolls, S'mores, Slim-jims, Jerky

Breakfast:
Biscuits and Mountain Man Breakfast - scrambled eggs w/ potatoes, bell pepper, oinions, bacon and cheese

Biscuits and gravy, bacon, fried potatoes, eggs

Pancakes

Lunch:
Wagon-Master Camp Stew, fresh veggiesand parmesan herb rolls

Hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, baked beans and chips

Sandwiches

Dinner:
Davidmil

We can add, subtract, revise as we go.

Well, I'd love to have some "slop", but being as we are in a camp, I don't think we'll have access to an oven, so that may be out of the question.

I love big breakfasts, big fan of fryin' up bacon and throwing eggs in and scrambling it all together. It's also easy towhip upthe pancake mix you just shake up with water and pour. I'm a HUGE fan of sweet rolls too...but realistically, as long as any of these items are involved, I'll be one happy camper. lol

I'm usually one to skip out on lunch when I am camping or hunting with the exception of some occassional ham sandwiches.

As for foods I don't like, most of everything I will eat, if I don't like it, I *always* have a reserve supply of hot dogs. I am not a fan of pork chops, but like I said, hot dogs will substitute just fine for any meal I don't have a hankerin' for. ;)

As for snacks, if anyone has any extra jerky or slimjims in the freezer, bring 'em with. If we have any left, I'll grab some. I can't camp ANYWHERE without smores, so I will probably bring enough for everyone. Here's an idea... while us women are out shooting up the venison, the guys can bring their shotguns and bang up the doves (not sure if this public land provides for dove hunting or not), then we can have some tasty nuggets wrapped in bacon. Mmmmmmm....

I Knew I was forgetting something...I'm glad you mentioned s'mores and jerky.

Any other good ideas?

I can check into the dove hunt. I don't remember when it goes out.

I was just in the bathroom, putting on my makeup, and it hit me; on public property, bunny season is open too! The guys can go bunny hunting, squirrel hunting and/or dove hunting!

The lake is a stone's throw away, so there's also fishing.
1 day fishing $9.00. 7 day fishing $20.00

Of course, you guys are welcome to deer hunt if you really want to.
