How about when the weather is 85 and above--even almost 100 degrees? They don't have ac for those suits! No way on earth to put on such a bulky suit in those conditions.

Now how will I know it is a lucky rock or not? And will it be lucky for just me? Say I threw the rock at a friend of mine, would it be lucky for him then? And how do I know I didn't pick up a rock that was only lucky to the deer?

Tell you what, I'll just buy yours Todd - is it up on ebay yet?

Same results here, except I wasn't wearing scent-lok, it was a 4-1/2 year old buck, and I had a cameraman in the tree with me! Pressure has more to do with how deer react to scent than anything. Also, with thermals and many other factors, you're wind may have not been reaching them like you think it was!

Please let me know where I can get one of these rocks!! LOL

IBH thx for sharing your story, sounds like a good night!!

Kevein1 let me know when you finally "kill the wind", I have try "hunting the wind", but can never find him.

Atlas kinda like using "the can", you KNOW it works so you use it. Let him hunt the way he wants, I know we all should let everyone hunt their way, and use what works best for all of us.

God know you will not find me tipping some goofy can over, go to the basics during the rut is what I do, but if folks like the can have at it!!

Good luck to all of you, I know NY opens in 2 days, you guys must be fired up.

Amen - the same guys must search out any and all posts that mention scentlokor scentblocker and rush over to crap all over the thread. Let the guy hunt the way he wants to hunt.

Well if the lucky rock works for you then keep on truckin. I'll stick with my scent control methods and seeing more deer than ever before in the process.

And manuman I don't blame you for not wanting to stack layers upon layers while hunting. I don't hunt enough early seasonor have enough $$$ to invest in a lightweight scent lok suit, so I just spray down the best I can and hope for the best.

No crappin' here, I've witnessed to many encounters of deer and elk on the ground or in standsup close and personal in swirling fickle winds..Scent lok is a key tool in my hunting arsenal and will be until I see signs of it not helping.

I hope it didn't come across as knocking them. I would think that there is some merit in them by many people's experience. I just don't think that they are a carte blanche ticket to ignore wind, and there are a lot of variables involved. The scenario I described just is an example of a major glitch that I believe I have a solution for--but even the lightweight 'base layers' haven't solved. They are very hot during those temps as well. I bought a brand name that I won't disclose pair of long underwear type scent removal clothes and they are not only hot, but they simply don't work.I can actually smell myself when climbing a tree---and for all of the wiseguys, I do shower, use the 'scent free' deodarants, and take every precaution I can--including using scent killer sprays. I think that the coller months and conditions these clothes would be effective--hot---not in my experience.

I don't think anyone mentioned not playing the wind.

I look at my wall every day. 40% of the bucks on my wall exceed P&Y minimums. All but two were killed using Scent-lok. Those two were killed before I added Scent-lok to my gear.

Make you invisible???Not really. Aid in scent control while in changing thermals and swirling wind? Absolutely.

Don't expect to leave work, put it on and then hunt. It doesn't work that way. Practicing strict scent control and adding Scent-lok is a great combination. I'm happy with the results.
