I am trying to get my girlfriend into hunting. She has a compound set at 40lbs and a 25 in draw. she is shooting carbon arrows 12 grains per inch i am looking for a good broadhead for her. I dont know much about bows set this light and i am worried about penetration

First off.....those arrows are too heavy...like.....WAY too heavy. I figured a 25" arrow w/ NO point at 300 gr.....a 100 gr. head would give you a 400 gr. arrow....Dude, I'm pulling 71 #s and shooting a 425 gr arrow....which is not HEAVY....but not light either.
I would recommend something in the 500 spine range....and as far as broadheads, a good cut on contact such as the Magnus Stinger.
Heavy is good, but that's just TOO heavy....I would guess her bow is lobbing arrows downrange....Let's get that lighter, get the speed up some, and see how that helps. Do you happen to know what speed she is shooting now?

Ahhhh....that's a HELL of a lot better! Best arrows on the planet. Now, get a good cut on contact and you'll be set. She just can't be pokin out at 50 yards, but anything 25 and under will be dead meat!
