Sika Success!
Hey Guys,
Despite a crazy Nor'Easter storm, a full moon and high tide, I was successful in taking a Sika Deer this year. After 3 days of horrible weather and sitting in trees that were swaying, I caught a break and the rain turned to a mist and the wind settled for one afternoon. I had a Sika Hind 22 yards from my blind at 3:35 in the afternoon. I got the entire thing on film and then was able to stay in the blind and film 2 other deer for at least 30 minutes. The guys at Muddy Marsh were great as usual. There were 7 of us in camp and 4 of us were able to shoot deer. With the weather and moon, that is great.
