I have gone out for 20 + years while their is a full moon, and as many as I can remember, I never saw anything. How did those of you do this last weekend with the full moon?

Im hunting a new location this year and have seen at least 10 deer every night ive been in the woods until this weekend didnt even see a glimpse of a deer

Yes, I saw about 7 deer never could get any to come in range though.

I hunted both saturday and sunday during a full moon and saw deer both days. Saturday morning they moved late (not till approx 9:00). Saturday evening I had deer come in at 6:00 pm which is still a good hour to hour and a half before dark. Sunday morningI had deer come in late morning (9:30am). Sunday evening I had twobucks a doe and a yearling doe come in at approx 6:30pm. I saw deer everytime Ihunted during the full moon. If I had any advice to give, itwould be to stay a little later in the morningduring a full moon. I never saw anything early those mornings I hunted during the full moon, everything seemed to movelater. Evening hunts seemed to be thesame as any other moonphase.

I saw 7 deer yesterday while we floated and fished the river here in MO. All were crossing the river during the middle of the day which is the time they are supposed to be out moving/feeding according to the Solunar tables. The fish hit pretty good during that time too.

Went to Indiana for the first time this weekend and saw deer every day. We spent Friday morning scouting a few areas and the three of us each killed a mature doe. Everywhere we went, there were deer feeding on acorns.

Last night I saw a doe and a fawn, but momma didn't get close enough. Then I snuck up on 4 does that were milling around in the trees, not enough light for an ethical shot.

saw a nice buck around 5:30 in the evening but not within a reasonable bowrange. It was out at least 50 yards through VERY thick brush

Perhaps this was just coincidence, but I have a friend who has hunted far more than I will ever have the chance to. (He has no children, and an understanding wife!) He told me a few times that deer often move a little near the middle of the day on a full moon. Saturday, I had an 8pt. sneak in and was too close and looking right at me before I could get the bow in position. A few minutes after he left, I looked at my watch, and it was 12:05.

I was turkey hunting this weekend and saw no deer until after dark. Sunday night when the moon was blocked by clouds I saw a couple of does in the fields before dark. That was it.

Cloudy and windy, mid 50's. On the afternoon hunt I saw 11 deer, 9 of them bucks, 3 shooters. My Dad saw 16, all does or dinks.

I saw 3 doe around 7:45am on Saturday morning but they were out of range. Then, around 8:15am I shot a button buck. Had another doe follow down the same trail a few minutes later.

I shot a button buck last sunday, and a 82 pound doe yesterday morning. and as i was dragging my deer out I scared off two big bucks.

I personally would rather hunt a full moon than any other. ESPECIALLY if it's on a high pressure day, and if said high pressure is after the passing of a cold front, look out!

I killed a big doe Friday evening after seeing around 10 deer. My hunting partner saw 20 deer Saturday morning and also shot a big doe.

We saw deer moving during the midday like the solunar tables said they would. Our corn and soybean harvest is in full steam right now and that could be causing the midday movement especially as deer are kicked out of corn fields. HCH

I got to my stand Saturday at 5 AM. For two hours before sunrise I heard deer all around me.I could even see them under the full moon. I saw does at 7:30, 8, and 8:30. I shot one at 8:30 am.

The woods were crowded for me - I got into my stand just before sun up. I saw:

Saw several does, in early morning. deer seem to get to their beds much earlier during the full moon. They also seem to get up from their beds much later.

Seen lots of deer this weekend.. I killed two of them.. Shot one Friday morning, a doe.. And I shot one Sunday afternoon, another doe... Passed on a smaller buck Sunday for a doe that's about 5-1/2 yrs old, nice large doe but don't have any pics.. Bad timing for my digital camera to break..

Anyway, good weekend with the full moon.

Oh, thought I'd ad that I also seen about 20 turkey's, a bobcat, and plenty of other critters...

I saw as many deer as I have all season this weekend. I haven't been seeing much, but on Friday and Sunday I saw a total of 28 deer. These are th first deer I have seen all season on stand.

Here in SE Pa, we had to deal with a "nor easter", but Friday I saw my first deer of the season an 8pt, no shot opp. On Saturday, I saw a doe with her yearling and took mom out. Found her Sunday morn.:)It had just stopped raining both days when I saw the activity! ;)

On Sunday I saw a doe right at sunup and then another doe with a yearling doe and a yearling button buck about 7:45. While they were hanging around my standa small 7 point came up. All of them munching on acorns the whole time. I had to get down early to come in to church and on the way home I saw 5 more deer cross the road in different spots.All of this happened before 10am.

I marked no...but I was torn as to what to put.

I hunted about 10 hours Saturday and Sunday and saw one deer.

It was cold out and I should've seen alot more than that, so I put that I didn't see any.

As a whole it was pitiful.

2 on Thursday evening. No deer but 8 turkeys friday evening. Saturday evening a small 5 pt., doe, 2 fawns, 2 PY bucks right at dark and heard a few others blow way back in the timber. Two other guys hunting the property saw 10 together. I've never had a ton of luck during a full moon, but when I have, it has been when the moon rises before the sun sets. As was the case on Saturday.

I usually don't have much luck with moonlight, either, but Saturday morning I had a nice 8 pointer and 2 big does at 10 yards. They came in from behind me and my bow was hanging on a hook. After about 10 minutes (seemed like more) had my chance and brushed the bark reaching for the bow. They jumped and skirted a bit then walked out of range and hung around for about 30-45 minutes. I was wondering if I could make a 60 yard shot through tree limbs.:D

There were two facotrs that I figured would keep the deer away this past weekend, the full moon and the Wisconsin youth riflehunt. I was wrong. Apparently there are no longer any kids under 12-15YO across the river from our property that participated in the youth hunt. Saturday morning I got in a tad late and still managed to see 9 bucks. One was a decent 8 pointer, I though about taking him but he just wasnt what I was looking for this early in the season. About 20 minutes after he came in I spotted movement to my west. It was another buck. This one was a wall hanger for sure. Once the 8 saw this buck it didnt take him long to get out of there. The biggerbuck was at least upper 120's lower 130's class.He offered only one shot....quartering to. I let him walk. Through out that mornign I had seven other bucks walk throuh my stand but they were real small, cull, and scrubs.

I tried mid-day. I drove to my area at 9:45am, saw a doe and fawn feeding at the edge of a picked soybean feed about a mile from my hunting area.
Once in my treestand I had a doe and fawn come by at 10:30, but the doe offered me no good shot. Right after them a four pointer walked by offering me a perfect shot but I passed. I sat until 3pm and didn't see another deer.

Nary a one , but I did see lots of turkeys including the grey phase one that I had hoped would survive last season . If she gets close enough to my blind she won't survive this one . ;)
