In the afternoon on a hunt last year I pulled it out to see what would happen when a buck was hanging around a good ways away. I hit the can one time and the buck made a loud grunt that almost sounded like a bark to me. It was so loud it startled me. He didn't come over but definitely made his presence known to the "doe" that was me in a tree. Something I will never forget.

I have seen more response to "The Can" then any other call out there.

With that statement I am to assume you've used every single call on the market. Is that the facts? No? Then your statement has many holes in it. You couldn't possibly know if this other call or that call will have more reponses.

He wasn't talking about a specific "brand"...........so why you would assume I was doesn't make sense.

Where did I say I "knew" one call will have more resposes then another??
My my we're all a little feisty tonight.

You specifically said YOU have seen more response to the can than ANY other call out there. That means you have used every call out there and can make that statement. Is this not correct? This is one of those generalizations you love to tear apart so please explain how you can make that statement.

I've called in a forkhorn with the can, but I don't carry it with me anymore cause like someone else said, I can duplicate the call with my true talker. It's all about confidence, if a particular call gives you confidence, and you call one deer in every ten times out, it's a great call. If you have no confidence in a call, and you call one deer in every ten times out, it's a POS.

I have.

That is correct.......I have used every type of call out there......that I know of.

Based on 19 years experience............that was good enough for you to use...........but not me?

I had really good success with the lil'can and the true talker. I will tip the lil'can over while giving some tending grunts on the true talker at the same time. I give about three tips and 5-7 grunts per tip. I don't use it until the pre-rut starts though.

Last year, the first weekend in November, I was up ina stand on the edge of a cedar swamp. It was about 7:30 in the morning and I was starting to get a little bored. So I pulled the Can out of my pack and tipped it over twice. Before I even had a chance to tip it a third time, the swamp in front of me exploded with the noise of something charging in! I stuffed the Can back in my pack, and reached for my bow. As I clipped my release to the loop and came to full draw, I could see him coming right in. He stopped at about 12 yards, and I slowly let down.
It was a 400 lb bear!
Neat encounter!

Which can are you all using? I've only had success with the lil can. I killed an 11 point last yr (the one in my avatar) with the can. I hit it and a few seconds later he came running down the hill across the creek and right up to me

Everyone else's experience is never good enough for you so why would your experience be good enough for us?

That is correct.......I have used every type of call out there......that I know of.
Your changing your story, now it is type of call, that is not what your statement concluded. That makes more sense although I have had more response from a grunt tube "type" call than any "can" type call.

I just bought my first can this year. Looking forward to giving it a shot here in IL. Those Primos boys seem very confident that it works, although they tend to come off as very "promotional" on almost all the products they sell.
