Default Hunters from the Midwest...

How's your season been treating you so far?

My overall deer sightings have been low, but it's still great to be out there! Bring on Nov!!

Tagged a button buck this past saturday, shot at a mature doe on opening night, but missed, and have seen deer almost every time in the woods. This has been a great start to what i hope is good to come.

Seasons been going pretty well, deer seem to be moving good considering the high temps. Bucks in this area are definetly active making scrapes. Even had a small 6 come into the grunt call last sat. night snorting the whole way in.

Nice to hear that some of you are off to great seasons. Haven't seen squat yet at my farm in NE Illinois (aka North Florida -- these high temps are killing me!). Nevertheless, I'll be back at it pre-dawn tomorrow.

Only been out one time--saw a big shooter though, just to far, so it will be good once I have time to get out, this working Sat and Sun is sucking. I think it is over after this weekend though. The word on the streets in my area is good, quite a few good ones, so heres hoping I get a crack at one of them!!

The temps are a killer. I have seen very few deer, but the deer I have seen have been promising. I seen a 130 class 10 point hanging around followed by a nice 100 class 8 and a small 6. Those are the only three deer I have seen...

My friend saw a nice grouping of bachelor bucks on his property in Central Missourilast week. He thought most of them were 8 pointers. One was just a brute. Needless to say, I invited myself to his place the weekend of the 21st[&:].
I passed on a 6 pointer this past Saturday, but that's all I've seen in my 2 mornings of hunting near Kansas City
