Today the WHA takes us back 10 steps in hunting community. I would like to have some post on what makes hunting great so far this year. I will start:

I met Jeff, and got to see him kill his first buck, and made a friend for life!

Dude that's really classy....and I appreciate it.

I found out that my teammates and I have more in common than we ever dreamed......in life. I owe that to this passion we pursue.

Gary, Rob.....you're great people.

Oh yeah......and I shot a buck.

I took the first steps towards getting a kid involved in hunting/archery.

It started in April when I took a good friend with me turkey hunting.

I made him a deal last month;

If he takes the initiative and gets registered for Hunter's Education and passes, I'll see if I can't get him a decent bow set up and teach him what I know about archery and hunting.

We're taking 8-10 days this December to hunt whitetails. He'll be filming me this year, but hopefully by next year I'll be filming him.

Knowing that I hunted so well last weekend that a bird landed on my arrow several times. No deer but a vote of confidence.

I got to take my 19 month old daughter on a walk in the woods with me to check my trail cam. I've been telling my wife for the last 19 months I can't wait to get her in the woods with me. I couldn't believe how well she did... stepping over logs, climbing hills, and my favorite.... telling me to shhhh while we were watching deer.
