i was out scouting today when a large 8 point came down a trail about 15 yards to my right. this is the largest deer i have ever seen while hunting and id really like to go after this buck, but then he smelled me. do u think he'll use this area again? what could i do to prevent him from smellin me? keep in mind that im hunting from the ground and the season startsthis saturday.

any suggestions are welcome

As long as he wasnt really spooked, he'll still use the trail(it might take him a couple of days to start using it again.)Especially once the rut kicks in he'll be more focused on the doe hes following. Use should use some scent killer that you can buy at an outdoor shop, and buy some of the cover scent waffers that they sell. use a combo of the scent killer on you and your equipment and place the waffers on branches around you and your good to go.
