I love stuff like that.

Reminds me of last year about this time, had three young bucks sparing about 40 yards behind my tree.

Took some video footage of it, here are some stills;

this is great....my first experience in a tree stand i had one doe and two fawns come right under my stand. It was amazing as i have never been that close to an animal and them not knowing that i was there....they feed for about 10 minutes as i watched (in ca. you cannot harvest a doe or fawn)...but it was a great experience...

good luck this season!

I had almost the same thing last year, except to fawns. Both suckling mother with in 20 yrds. Sure was cool! I had to let her walk also!

That's awesome. Last year I watched a doe and her spotted young en' for about 20 minutes. I couldn't see down the trail but something (probably a young buck) was making the doe none to happy. She kept chasing it off. Everytime she did (which was 5 times) the fawn would run directly under my stand and watch, clueless that I was there. It was a great experience, but I was wanting her to let the other deer come into view.

Awesome!
Gotta love hunting and watching and not releasing an arrow. All too often I think hunters focus too much on the kill, not on enjoying the act of hunting, the thrill of being in the woods, and the relaxation which comes from the outdoors!

I've hunted in my honey hole 5 times since our opener (Sept. 9th). I've seen 30 deer.....and only 2 bucks (though I KNOW some of these deer I've seen multiple times in different sittings).

I'd decided I was going to shoot a doe, Saturday......and I had a really big one come out at about 7:00. I got my bow ready......and then another doe comes out. Then........comes the fawn. Then.......the other fawn.

It just isnt in me (though I fault NO ONE who would take ANY of these deer). I watched 'em play around and seemingly hide from mama......then they all paraded right by me.

I learn something EVERY TIME I deer hunt. I've seen things that amaze me. I've seen things that my non-hunting friends will NEVER bear witness to.

I'll be back on stand, tomorrow evening (my last two Tuesday evenings have produced 10 and 11 deer sightings, respectively).

Jeff
