I would say to go back and try to look for her. It sounds like you might of got her right by the liver or a little further back. Sometimes they don't bleed very much and sometimes it just poors out. If you hit a little back past the liver you might just of hit muscle. Sometimes when a muscle is hit it doesn't bleed very much if any. If the weather is hot, the meat might not be good anymore. Just go out there and keep looking for her and if you can't find her after about 4 or 5 hours then you can stop looking because after looking that long you are probably not going to find her. Best of luck.

Yeah, i know i probably should have waited longer but the rain started not long after we were tracking. now at least we found some blood to start off with. The blood was coming out of both sides of her from what we could tell by the trail. It was also dark but didnt have any stomach matter in it. We are going out to look in a little while. Ill let you know what happens.

Well, we spent quite a bit of time looking today but never ended up finding her.
I did find the arrow though and even after the rain, the feathers were still covered with stomach matter. [:'(]My dad figures she is dead somewhere. i think we were pushing her last night. We could have stepped past her today as we hunt in a swamp with grass up to your waste and big areas of really thick sumac bushes. I feel bad about not finding her but i hope shes at least dead and not suffering. Thanks for the help guys.[/align]

one time my partner shot a doe in the guts. As she walked away he could see intestines hanging out the exit side. He didn't even follow the trail that night. Late that night it rained and the blood trail was gone in the morning so we spead out and looked in the direction we last saw her. No luck. Then we listened and heard crows. We went towards them and sure enough right where they were is where the deer laid.

Hey cabage, ive heard of that before. ive definetly been listening for crows. I dont want to give up butit is too tough to get around in that darn swamp after it rains and the sumac made my leg swell up. Im sure ill look some more but its supposed to rain for the next few days and thats when the poison sumac is strongest.
