I was able to develope a roll of film on tonight, and get some good buck pics. I got 2 pictures (First 2)of one really nice buck, with some heavy mass and big frame with tall main beams. I'd sure love the chance to harvest him.
The other bucks look like they could use one more year though.

My father was out hunting last Wednesday, and actually passed on this 8ptr on the left. He said he was tempted, but decided he needed one more year.

Thanks. Buck Magnet, actually it's the same spot, as the one from last year. I agree, they look very very similar, and deffinately have the same genes.

Nice collection of photos , nice deer too.
In the first photo that buck has got alot of mass though out the rack , I would be very happy to see him in my sites.
The rest of them are very nice buck but like your Dad ,Iwould wait another year ,maybe.

I'd like to mention the looks of the BODY and FACE of the first one versus the other YOUNGER BUCKS with LOTS of POTENTIAL..
Look at the Shoulders and Neck on that first one, and he's still in velvet.. HE'S MATURE.. 5 1/2
Now look at the second One.. That deer looks only 2 1/2 years old.. 3 1/2 but I doubt it.
Anyone agree?
That how you tell aMATURE BUCK.. The body..

Mathewsboy... I agree, the first buck has to be 5 1/2 or even older. Deffinately at or probably past his Prime. You can tell a lot by the body structure of the deer.
